Wheeeee!

Wish me luck! This afternoon is my longest Les Mills Pump Workout EVER…55 minutes of lifting!…I’m excited, I’m actually ridiculously pleased about how strong I’m getting and I don’t dread these exercises like I did with Insanity (knees b!tched the whole time).  Plus, my body definitely responded faster to strength training than pure cardio.


The only thing I need to work on is my diet, I don’t go over my set caloric intake for the day but I don’t pick good choices sometimes.  Like I just had two Keebler Fudge cookies because I “needed” an energy boost lol.  I’m still seeing results so perhaps it’s not all too bad.  I’m adjusting to my NEW work schedule…YES! I finally found another job.  I’m making bank…well okay..a bit exaggerated there..but I’m doing really well and now I can indulge myself a little bit…AWESOME WEIGHT LOSS REWARDS IT IS!

I knew in an abstract way that I was losing weight (mostly inches) but I hadn’t realize the total.  I finally hit the 160s again!! 1 more pound until 20 pounds lost! Wooohoo!!

Badges of Triumph: How to?

As I lose more and more inches from doing Les Mills Pump and my everyday workouts, I see more and more stretch marks showing up. I look at this with a confusing mix of sadness, irritation, and triumph. The elation of seeing results usually overshadows the other two feelings. I know these are a natural part of losing weight as well as genetics and other factors.

I know losing weight is not going to be perfect. But I sure wished that my skin looked better.

I’m trying to find ways to minimize their appearance but at the same time I just shrug it off. I know sometime in the future they will bother me more when I want to wear revealing clothes.

Is there anyway to minimize stretch marks? How do you deal with it?

On another note, my skinny jeans fit me again. Much better in fact! I also purchased new ones. In pink and purple! They just perk me up!

I SQUAT A TOTAL OF 20 POUNDS YESTERDAY! That might not mean much to heavy lifters but when you squat for 5 minutes straight REPEATEDLY with no pauses..its definitely a triumph!!!! WOO! Yay I love Les Mills Pump!

A few weeks ago I barely could finish squatting 10* pounds. Then I graduated to 15s*. Today, I squat 20* pounds. Les Mills Pump is AWESOME! Feeling powerful is the best feeling in the world.
